Accounting Clerk III

The Accounting Clerk III is appointed by and reports directly to the Controller and indirectly to the Log Procurement Manager and is solely accountable for the performance of all assigned responsibilities and associated duties.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Matching of scale tickets to relevant documentation from vendors and production
  • Maintenance of By-Products ticket data for by-products produced and sold or purchased as part of day to day business
  • Daily communication of ticket summaries to chip contractor and bark purchaser.  Include shavings and other by-products as needed
  • Maintenance of Fiber Track Quick entry card database as needed; Includes making and distributing cards for suppliers
  • Assist with maintenance of RFID cards for by-products vendors
  • Maintenance of Fiber Track contract data base as needed
  • Run daily log deliveries and by-products sales information and provide load counts
  • Filing, clerical, and administrative duties
  • Maintain emails and outlook calendar appointments
  • Participate in the monthly close process
  • Perform all other duties/special projects as assigned
 

Required Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proficient with Microsoft business applications software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and analyzing materials
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
 

Education and Experience:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Accounting/Office: 2 years (Preferred)

Planer Setter/Operator

Planer Setter/Operator

Skilled Planer setter will handle the coordination of maintenance and correct operation of the planer to allow the planer to reliably produce quality lumber that will be packaged for finished goods and do so in a safe manner. A successful Planer setter will be customer focused, be mechanically inclined, and be able to communicate respectfully and effectively with all involved team members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and performing routine precision maintenance on the planer
  • Setting planer to correct target sizes and adjust as necessary
  • Ensuring planer quality
  • Leadership of planermill operations
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, operational, and/or quality issues from the planer
  • Taking a lead role in safety
  • Documenting preventative maintenance processes about the planer
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Ability to travel when required

Required Competencies:

  • Ability to accurately follow instructions

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer knowledge is preferred
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Ability to use measurement and alignment tools
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of electronics is a plus
  • Ability to safely perform work tasks involving sharp equipment
  • Lumber Grading qualifications is preferred
  • Forklift driving abilities is preferred

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or 3 years of applicable technical experience
  • Technical certificate or Associates degree is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast pace industrial environmental
  • Must be able to work in both hot and cold temperatures
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work safely at heights
  • Suitable agility and stamina to permit negotiation of stairs, elevated work platforms, ladders and walking on uneven terrain
